• Can I book a table at Hippo Brunchaus?

  Yes — book online through CatchTable. Walk-ins are welcome when seats are free, but a reservation is recommended for the weekend brunch peak between 11:00 and 14:00. For anything urgent, call +82-10-3796-3176.

• Is Hippo Brunchaus dog friendly?

  Yes. Visitor reviews put dogs on the terrace and the basement level, which makes it one of the easier large cafes in Yeonnam-dong to bring a dog to for brunch. Please keep dogs leashed for other guests, and call +82-10-3796-3176 to check ground-floor seating and large breeds before you come.

• What are the opening hours and last order?

  Open every day from 09:00 to 21:30, with last order at 20:30 — 12.5 hours a day, from breakfast brunch through dinner. Temporary closures are posted on Instagram @brunchhaus_hippo.

• First visit — what should I order?

  Hippo Mouth's Plate (₩18,800) and Brunch all the Way (₩21,800) are the two signature brunch plates. Both are generous, so two people usually take one plate plus a pasta — basil cream paccheri (₩18,800) or beef ragu (₩18,300). For coffee, the signature Hippo Vienna (₩6,500).

• Do you serve vegan or organic brunch?

  Yes — vegan and organic brunch can be prepared on request. They are not on the printed menu, so please call +82-10-3796-3176 or DM Instagram in advance. Organic produce is already standard for staples such as the tomatoes in the beef ragu.

• How big is the space, and can groups come?

  Over 330 m² (100+ pyeong) across the ground floor, basement and terrace, so groups fit comfortably on a separate level. Seating depends on party size and date — call ahead for group bookings.

• How about parking and public transport?

  There is no dedicated car park. Visitor reviews report a public lot about a three-minute walk away, so driving still works. The cafe is inside the Yeonnam-dong backstreets, though, so public transport is easier: Gajwa Station (Gyeongui–Jungang Line), Hongik Univ. Station (Line 2 / AREX) or Mangwon Station (Line 6) — and it sits right along the Gyeongui Line Forest Park walk.

• Is there an English, Japanese or Chinese menu?

  Every dish is printed with its English name on the in-store menu, and this site is available in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese. The cafe is in the Yeonnam-dong / Hongdae area, so ordering from photos works fine too.
